FINANCIAL AIDErasmus Mundus Scholarship

EMJM scholarship

The DIGICREA consortium award a limited number of EMJM scholarships per cohort of students. For students who are awarded a scholarship, the EMJM Digicrea will provide a grant of 1,400 euros per month, for a total duration of 24 months.

The maximum amount per student is therefore 1,400 euros x 24 months = 33,600 euros.
The scholarship is awarded for full-time enrolment and covers the entire duration of the Masters Course (i.e. 24 months).

The EMJM Scholarship is intended to contribute to the costs incurred by the students and covers expenses related to:

  • Travel costs;

  • Visa costs;

  • Installation costs;

  • Subsistence costs.

The universities or the DIGICREA consortium do not cover these expenses directly. The consortium pays the scholarship into the student's bank account. It is then up to the student to cover these costs using the scholarship he/she receives.

This scholarship will be forfeited if the student does not attend the master's courses or does not meet the required level of performance.

Candidates who have previously received an EMJM scholarship are not eligible for EMJM Digicrea scholarship. However, they may enroll as self-funded students if selected from the main or reserve list after completing the selection process.

The application for the scholarship is included within the application for the program itself; you don't need to submit anything beyond what is required in the application.

Other scholarship and self-funded student

A limited number of self-funded students (i.e. non-scholarship holders) is accepted per cohort.

Applicants are required to indicate if they intend to join the DIGICREA program as self-funded student (in case they are awarded the EMJM scholarship) during application procedure.

Applicants should be fully aware of the financial costs of the programme and cost of living in hosting countries. While our scholarship policy will allow most of the students to finance the entire studies period, selected self-funded students who were not awarded a scholarship grant will be required to submit a Guarantee of full financial support (annexed to the Learning Agreement and prior to enrollment) with budget simulation. This is to ensure that the student have sufficient funds to cover the entire period of studies. Student will need to document his/her source/s of income to apply for a student visa. Please refer to estimated costs in universities available here to assess your financial ability.

Students (scholarship holders and non-scholarship holders) are not charged any tuition fees.

Non-scholarship holders can benefit from other grants, such as Erasmus+ Key Action 1 mobility (KA131 and KA171) funds, while they are studying at an EMJM programme.

Special needs

The European Union co-funded EMJM programme aims to promote equal access, particularly for students with special needs.
